One of nine designers working collaboratively for high profile clients. Co-lead secondary consumer research and developed consumer profiles, which aided the client in determining the appropriate market for a new product. Helped develop near-future concepts to transition a major brand into a more eco responsible age. Lunar Co-op San Francisco, CA 06.06-09.06 A diverse, award-winning consultancy that creates innovative and memorable consumer products, electronics, and medical devices. Team member in a studio of thirty international designers and engineers. Collaborated in small multidisciplinary teams to produce compelling concepts for a wide range of clients. Developed time management skills while contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for all stages of the design process, with an emphasis on originality, teamwork, and time efficiency. Focused heavily on applying consumer and market trend research. Also active contributor to internal creative side projects. Puma Co-op Boston, MA 01.06-03.06 An international active lifestyle brand that merges innovative fashion and performance technology across a broad range of categories. Member of a diverse team at the North American headquarters, active in advancing design and fashion culture in and out of the workplace. Worked on an array of athletic footwear projects that were part of a strategic marketing initiative to increase brand awareness in mass retail. Responsibilities included marketing and trend research; sketching, rendering, and presenting concepts to upper management; mock-ups and technical drawings for manufacture. The result is a high distribution cross trainer scheduled to be released in the winter of 2007. Procter & Gamble Sponsored Project Cincinnati, OH 03.06-06.06 A large American based global corporation that manufactures a comprehensive range of consumer goods. Participated in a Pampers sponsored studio, focusing on relief specific to the needs of parent and child in a disaster situation. Developed a holistic, award winning carrier concept which was presented at Pampers Headquarters. Royal Elastics Co-op Los Angeles, CA 06.05-09.05 A highly creative footwear brand deeply rooted in sneaker culture. Worked on a multidisciplinary team of ten, which included industrial and fashion designers, developers, and marketers. Responsible for creating and communicating concepts that focused on unique use of materials and closures for both Royal Elastics and their client, Gwen Stefani’s brand L.A.M.B. footwear. Samsung Electronics Sponsored Project Cincinnati, OH/Seoul, Korea 03.05-06.05 A top global electronics manufacturer and recognized leader in the digital convergence revolution. Participated in the Global Design Sponsorship Program alongside five international design schools, to develop hand held electronic concepts specific to the individual culture of each region. Member of a three person team focusing on communication scenarios of young professional Americans. Selected to present concepts at Samsung Headquarters in Seoul, Korea. Ethicon Endo-Surgeries Co-op Cincinnati, OH 01.05-03.05 One of the leading medical product companies in the world, best known for minimally invasive surgical technologies. Focused on hand held surgical devices with a team of designers, engineers, and surgeons. Thorough design process involved careful analysis of medical procedures and identifying opportunities for improved ergonomics, safety, and accuracy. Generated and developed concepts from ideation sketching to final wax models. New Balance Co-op Boston, MA 06.04-09.04 An international footwear company with an emphasis on fit, performance, and material technology. Member of the multidisciplinary cross training division. Involved in developing new brand image and products for the new cross train “in the gym” collection. Responsibilities included brainstorming, visually and verbally presenting concepts, and market and material research. Designed a women’s specific cross trainer that is currently available at select retailers nationwide.
